Sxip Identity Builds Critical Mass; Brain Gain from Across the Globe

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 16, 2005) - Sxip Identity, the leader in on-demand identity management, is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of top talent from across North America and Europe to accommodate its Vancouver expansion and new office in San Francisco. In addition to new recruits to the development team, the senior management team welcomes Chuck Mortimore, Vice President of Product Architecture and Alfie Karmal, Vice President of Sales. Their immediate focus will be on further development, sales and marketing of Sxip Access, the only identity management solution designed specifically for on-demand applications.

The markets for Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and for on-demand web applications are predicted to continue to climb within the next several years. Analyst research firm, International Data Corp. (IDC), projects worldwide revenue for the IAM software market to reach $3.4 billion in 2008, representing a compound annual growth rate of 9.7%. They also estimate that ASP sales will grow by at least 26 percent annually from $2.1 billion in 2002 to $10.7 billion by 2009. Sxip is capitalizing on these fast growing markets, with its recently released IAM solution for ASPs, Sxip Access.

Alfie Karmal, Vice President, Sales

Mr. Karmal brings thirty years of sales and managerial experience to building out Sxip's sales channel with and other leading ASPs. He joins Sxip from another partner, Salescentrix, an integration software development company where he was VP of Sales responsible for penetrating the US, UK, and Australian markets and developing large technology channel partners.

Chuck Mortimore, Vice President, Product Architecture

With over ten years of experience developing and marketing enterprise middleware, identity management and Internet software, Mr. Mortimore takes charge of Sxip's product strategy, roadmap, and architecture. He was previously Director of Product Management at San Francisco-based Blue Titan Software, a recognized innovator of infrastructure software for enterprise SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) initiatives.

"Sxip's innovative approach to on-demand identity management and the massive growth in the hosted application market space makes this a compelling challenge," said Chuck Mortimore, VP Product Architecture, Sxip Identity. "I'm excited to work with this talented and experienced team and I believe this is a tremendous opportunity to help build the next generation of identity management infrastructure."

Recent additions to Sxip's development team further contribute to Vancouver's high-tech "brain gain":

- Philipp Kamps, from Germany

- Marius Scurtescu, from Romania

- Dan Lewis, from San Francisco, CA

- Alexander Majere, from Portland, OR

"Vancouver and San Francisco are the centers of the Internet economies in Canada and the US. Opening a US office allows us to take advantage of the best and brightest people in both countries," said Dick Hardt, Founder & CEO, Sxip Identity. "Sxip's Identity 2.0 vision is part of a new era that is emerging on the web, which allows us to beat out companies like Google, and Yahoo for the top talent."
