Symantec EVP and CFO Appointed to LiveOps Board

James Beer to Head LiveOps Audit Committee

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - June 13, 2007) - LiveOps, the leader in distributed contact centers, today announced the appointment of James Beer, Executive Vice President and CFO at Symantec, to its Board of Directors, where he will lead the company's audit committee.

Beer brings over 20 years of finance and operating experience to the LiveOps Board. He has been with Symantec for one and a half years, where he manages the company's worldwide finance organization and leads the corporate development, facilities and operations teams. Prior to joining Symantec, Beer was Chief Financial Officer of AMR Corp. and American Airlines, where among his accomplishments he led the creation of American's oneworld alliance, as well as the majority of American's other international alliance relationships. During his 15 years at American, he also managed American Beacon Advisors Inc., a subsidiary of AMR that manages more than $40 billion in assets.

Prior to joining AMR, Beer spent seven years as a management consultant at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, in Europe and the United States. He holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in aeronautical engineering from Imperial College, London University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
