Symphony GOLD Partners With Fonella for Location-Aware Customer Engagement

Mobile Solutions Leverage Spottio Technology to Enable Retailers to Engage With Customers When, Where and How They Shop

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jan 12, 2016) - Symphony GOLD, provider of the GOLD unified software platform for retail, today announced a partnership with a Finnish software company Fonella Oy, to integrate its Spottio in-store shopping modules and magnetic mapping technology into the GOLD ENGAGE customer engagement and loyalty management offering. The new GOLD ENGAGE suite of mobile location-aware solutions enables retailers to engage with customers when, where and how they shop.

Featuring the Fonella Spottio geolocation and proximity-aware technology, the GOLD ENGAGE mobile solutions facilitate personalized marketing, engagement and support based on a customer's physical location, preferences and shopping behaviors. They also provide customers with the convenience of navigation and product location support within a store. The new GOLD ENGAGE mobile offerings include:

  • Personalized and targeted marketing and promotions based on a customer's physical location,
  • In-store location-based promotion and product information that helps mobile users to assess availability and find products within a store,
  • Shopper heat maps that help retailers visualize how target customer segments shop a store.

The new GOLD ENGAGE mobile solutions make it easy for customers to create a shopping list at home, then guide them through the store as they search for items. Customers can be notified of any complementary products and personalized offers. Because the shopping list, the content, and the price of the shopping basket are up-to-date in real time, products are not forgotten or missed because they were hard to find.
