Stephen Powell, CEO and President of Synensis, and Daniel Baily, Director of Analytics, Will Present Two Workshops During the Three-Day Event, to Be Held October 29-31 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in the United Arab Emirates

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - October 14, 2015) - Two Synensis executives have been invited to present at the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Conference, scheduled for October 29-31 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the company announced today. Stephen Powell, chief executive officer and president of Synensis, will speak on Friday, October 30, before teaming up with Daniel Baily, director of analytics, for a workshop on Saturday, October 31.

The conference, which will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, is being hosted by Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. in collaboration with the American College of Medical Quality (ACMQ) and the American Board of Medical Quality (ABMQ). This inaugural event aims to take a deep dive into the fundamental concepts of clinical quality improvement and patient safety, including basic methods, tools and leadership techniques essential to lead the improvement at ACMQ's interactive one day workshop.

Powell's October 30 presentation is title, "Patient Engagement: The Key Missing Healthcare Team Member in Patient Safety and Quality." In this workshop, Powell will demonstrate how organizations put themselves at a distinct disadvantage by ignoring the role patients and their families play in achieving zero preventable harm.

"One of the fastest ways to reduce preventable harm is to engage patients and families in the healthcare delivery process," Powell said. "Patient engagement is interconnected with patient safety and quality as indicators of high performance."

Powell will follow up that seminar by co-presenting with Baily the next day. Baily will kick off the second workshop with, "Measuring and Improving Patient Safety Culture." Powell will then conclude with, "Leadership for Patient Safety." The two-part workshop is designed to provide attendees with actionable steps for creating a culture of safety.
