Syscan Appoints New Board

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 6, 2007) - Syscan International Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SYA) today announced that at the Annual Meeting held on August 30 in Montreal, Messrs John McLernon (Chairman), Ayman Ashour, Matthew Rogers and Joseph Tassone were unanimously elected as Directors. The Company is moving ahead to deepen its Management and Non-Executive Management depth. The recent addition of Matthew Rogers as a director will provide invaluable support to Syscan.

Mr. Rogers has worked in the security industry in leading positions since 1991 with ASH and ADT, before taking over as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Tyco Fire & Security in 1999. There he led an aggressive acquisition program which increased revenues from $6 billion to $12 billion by 2002. In 2004 he joined USBX, an investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions in the security industry as Managing Director. He recently joined McGinn Smith & Company in January 2007 as Senior Managing Director. Mr. Rogers is also Director and Chairman of Verifier Capital Inc. He holds a BA from Trinity College, Oxford and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
