Sysomos Drives Growth With Key Talent and Leading-Edge Infrastructure

Brian Kissel and Lauren Vaccarello Add Technology Firepower to Executive Team

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 22, 2014) - Sysomos, a global leader in social intelligence, announced today significant investments in technology and talent to support a 500% increase in customer demand for its platform on key accounts, including the top five brands on Interbrand's list of the 100 best global brands. The move sates the voracious appetite among brand marketers to analyze the increasing amount of social media data and insights available through the company's platform. Sysomos also welcomes two strategic hires in the Silicon Valley area to its executive leadership team to develop new products and bring them to market. Brian Kissel joins as executive vice president of product and Lauren Vaccarello has been added as senior vice president of marketing. Both bring essential expertise and vision to leverage the upgraded infrastructure and data available through the Sysomos platform.

To accommodate the continually increasing volume of social data Sysomos processes -- currently 1.7 petabytes, or the equivalent of 13.6 million CDs of data -- the company is building out a Grid computing architecture. The new Grid infrastructure will analyze over a trillion follower relationships in a single calculation and process nearly a billion conversations per day. Earlier this year, Sysomos announced significant data partnerships to provide Sysomos MAP and Heartbeat users with access to the Tumblr firehose, Tickr data, and Clarabridge customer experience data and analytics.

Kissel's addition accompanies Sysomos' migration to a Grid infrastructure. Kissel brings a solid background in enterprise product development and innovation strategy as he works to expand the Sysomos product suite with an emphasis on client success and user experience. He will focus on leveraging technology to improve Sysomos business outcomes and productivity. Kissel's experiences include cross-functional leadership positions in high growth public and private companies, including 24/7, Juniper Networks, and CheckFree.

She is also the author of two books on performance marketing, a regarded expert in the advertising technology space, and a leader setting a positive example for women in technology careers. Vaccarello was recently name by the San Francisco Business Times as a 2014 Woman of Influence.
