T. Boone Pickens Energy Fund-Notice of Warrant Exercise Period

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 15, 2011) -

T. Boone Pickens Energy Fund (the "Fund") hereby notifies holders of Warrants of the Fund that Warrants for the purchase of Class A, F, U and I units of the Fund may be tendered for exercise during the period commencing on April 18, 2011 and ending on 5:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on April 29, 2011 (the "Exercise Period"), for exercise on April 29, 2011. The exercise of Warrants may only be effected through a CDS Participant and will only be valid if exercise procedures are properly executed. Subscribers will be unable to withdraw their subscriptions for units once submitted. CDS Inc. and/or investment dealers through which Warrants are held may impose earlier deadlines for the exercise of Warrants and holders of Warrants should consult with their investment dealers to ensure Warrants are tendered for exercise prior to any such shorter deadline. Warrants not tendered for exercise prior to the deadline for exercise will expire and be void and of no value.

Each Warrant entitles the holder to purchase one unit of the Fund at a subscription price of CAD$10.00 (in the case of Class A and Class F warrants) and US$10.00 (in the case of Class U and Class I warrants) on April 29, 2011. The Fund publishes the net asset value of the Class A, F and U units on a weekly basis. The fully diluted net asset value per Class A Share is calculated assuming all Warrants are exercised. Below are the undiluted and fully diluted net asset values per Class A Share as at April 8, 2011.

The Fund has been created to provide investors with the opportunity for long-term capital growth by providing access to the energy-related investment strategies of TBP Investments Management LLC (the "Portfolio Manager"). The Portfolio Manager and its management team are lead by Mr. T. Boone Pickens, who brings to the Fund years of energy-related investment experience. The Fund primarily invests in equity and commodity-related investments within the energy and energy-related sectors.

Class A Units and Warrants are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbols TBP.UN and TBP.WT respectively.
