T-Mobile expands relationship with Birdstep's Technology

With this new order, T-Mobile confirms the success of their TMCC offering

OSLO, NORWAY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 16, 2006 -- Oslo/Stockholm - March 16, 2006 -Birdstep Technology ASA, the leading provider of seamless mobility and connectivity client solutions, announced that T-Mobile International has extended the agreement with Birdstep Technology with a substantial number of PC license software that forms the T-Mobile Communication Centre (TMCC) offering. The license purchase will cover T-Mobile International's estimated needs for 2006 based on their growing customer demand. Birdstep Technology provides T-Mobile with unique connectivity client software that enables easy connectivity over T-Mobile's GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and WiFi hotspot networks at the same time ensuring the user is connected to the best available network. The TMCC solution is currently deployed by T-Mobile operators in Germany, Austria, Netherlands and UK.

T-Mobile International has been a Birdstep customer since 2001 and has expanded the functionality of the TMCC to cover growing customer demands and newer types of networks. The partnership with T-Mobile continues to grow with this extended offering that provides their growing customer base with consistent user experience and access to their information regardless of how they connect to the T-Mobile network using their existing T-Mobile accounts.

The existing TMCC solution provides one consistent, branded interface that works with various PC cards available to the customer. It is based on the Birdstep "one-click" patented software that allows users to easily connect to their Intranet and Internets using wireless networks. The TMCC software is bundled in the T-Mobile data offering to enterprise users, enabling them to easily and efficiently access the Internet and intranet, download information and send and retrieve emails. .

"Our relationship has grown through these years to a strong partnership where we can assist T-Mobile in meeting their customer requirements, with leading edge solutions for demanding users" said Petri Markkanen, CEO from Birdstep Technology.
