T-System Showcases RevCycle+ Physician Coding and Billing at ACEP Scientific Assembly

Full-Service Revenue Cycle Solution Helps Emergency Physicians Accelerate Reimbursement

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - Oct 3, 2012) - T-System, Inc. will showcase its new service offering, RevCycle+™, at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) 2012 Scientific Assembly Oct. 8-11 in Denver. The RevCycle+ technology-enabled services include emergency department (ED) physician coding and billing as well as revenue cycle management consulting services. The event will be T-System's first trade show since acquiring Marina Medical Billing Service

Visitors to Booth #1113 at the Colorado Convention Center can learn about how they may be able to benefit from RevCycle+ services and how they can receive a complimentary chart audit. RevCycle+ physician coding and billing services are available at more than 450 locations in the U.S. Attendees can also view the full suite of other solutions that T-System provides for ED physicians.

"The experts who are leading our RevCycle+ solution offer decades of experience in physician coding and billing," said Greer Contreras, CPC, T-System vice president of coding. "They've assisted clients with seeing revenue increases that range from 10 to 50 percent. We're excited to attend ACEP and show emergency physicians how T-System can help improve the efficiency and financial viability of their practice.

Continued T-System Vice President and Chief Medical Informatics Officer Robert Hitchcock, M.D., FACEP: "Emergency department physicians are increasingly under pressure to adhere to new models of care and payment delivery. It's also becoming increasingly difficult for physician groups to maintain projected revenues. T-System's advanced technology coupled with expert services help physicians optimize reimbursement and ensure regulatory compliance."

Hitchcock, a practicing ED physician, is the featured speaker at the ACEP Informatics Section Meeting on Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. His presentation, "The Impact of Encoded ED Documentation on Healthcare Transformation," will explain the emergence of metadata standards; discuss the impact of ICD-10 on those standards; and describe the ultimate impact to ED effectiveness, reimbursement and patient transitions of care.

T-System's booth at the ACEP Scientific Assembly will be set up to emulate a hospital ED where physician attendees can gather hands-on experience testing key components of its solutions, for example, patient documentation and computerized provider order entry. Physicians can also obtain a reimbursement analysis. More than 6,000 emergency physicians are expected to be in attendance for the assembly.
