Hungry for change?

Taco Bell Canada is encouraging fans and rebels who favour flavour to join the brand in a spirited summer stand against boring.

In fact, Canada's irrepressible Mexican-inspired Quick Service Restaurant chain, is serving up a good-natured, tongue-in-cheek revolution at burgerbacklash.ca.

Starting on June 27th, Taco Bell will take its revolution to the airwaves with a feisty new TV manifesto.

The TV campaign features adventurous eaters who are fed up with the standard burger combo. Each TV ad closes with the symbol of the Taco Bell Canada revolution: a branded arm, holding a Burrito Supreme.

Online, Taco Bell fans and adventurers can feed their appetite for change and enjoy revolutionary offers and news at burgerbacklash.ca. Free-thinkers can join the revolution by pledging to uphold the Taco Bell manifesto. Fans can also share their own stories and tips on how they break from the status quo.

There's even a humorous conspiracy-themed, Facebook-powered, interactive video about "Big Burger" — that can be personalized and shared with photos of your most rebellious amigos.

Think Outside the Bun

"Taco Bell is a bold, challenger brand and burgerbacklash.ca appeals to our fans' sense of individuality — and their love of variety and the unexpected," says Dan Howe, Chief Marketing Officer for Yum! Restaurants Canada, which owns the Taco Bell brand in Canada.

"Taco Bell is unique in quick service restaurants, because our menu favourites like CrunchWrap Supreme and our new Chicken Enchilada Grilled Stuft Burrito feature a crave-able and hard to find mix of flavours and textures," he says.

"Taco Bell offers cool sour cream, delicious seasoned beef, gooey cheese, crisp lettuce, tangy tomatoes, signature hot sauces and fresh Fiesta Salsa. That's a nice change from the usual fare," sums up Howe.
