LAC-MÉGANTIC, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 14, 2011) - The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Natural Resources, today announced the awarding of $1 million in repayable funding to Tafisa Canada Inc. Granted through the Community Adjustment Fund, this financial assistance will enable the company to acquire state-of-the-art equipment and thereby improve its productivity.

"The Government of Canada is firmly committed to supporting enterprises that, like Tafisa Canada Inc., are investing in technology and doing what it takes to expand into new market niches," stated Minister Paradis.

Tafisa Canada Inc., whose clients consist of manufacturers of office furniture and cabinets, exports a portion of its production to the United States. In so doing, Tafisa Canada Inc. will be in a position to capitalize on the growing demand for these types of products.
