Tagish Lake Gold Corp.: Diamond Drilling Tests Kuhn Zone Extension

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 27, 2005) - Tagish Lake Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TLG) (the "Company") is pleased to provide additional results from the diamond drill program on the Company's Skukum Creek gold-silver deposit.

Two holes were drilled to verify the depth extension of mineralization in the Kuhn Zone, where an incomplete intercept in DDH SC02-16 returned 8.3 g/t Gold (Au) and 69 g/t Silver (Ag) over 2.9m. The Measured and Indicated Resources in the Kuhn Zone are currently estimated to be 220,000 tonnes at 7.50 g/t Gold and 137 g/t Silver. The 2005 results are tabulated below.

Kuhn Zone Drill Results

Hole Intersection (m) Grade (g/t)
From To Length Au Ag
SC05-37 125.05 130.60 5.55 0.99 13.1
incl 125.05 126.05 1.00 2.35 22.9
and 139.10 142.85 3.75 2.83 106.1
incl 141.90 142.85 0.95 5.04 172.0
SC05-38 93.90 95.10 1.20 1.23 16.0
and 97.26 97.71 0.45 2.20 38.9
and 109.12 110.46 1.34 1.03 15.6

Both drill holes intersected quartz-sulphide mineralization on the Kuhn Zone structure. In SC05-37, the deeper of the two holes, the zone was intersected across 17.8m, with two significant quartz sulphide breccia veins. Together with the intercept in SC02-16, the mineralization encountered indicates there is potential to increase the resource at depth within the Kuhn Zone.

Additional potential on the Kuhn Zone structure exists to the southwest, where a surface diamond drill hole (RG97-2) returned 9.15 g/t Au, 18.2 g/t Ag across 1.75m in the Ridge zone, some 300m west along the same mineralized structure as the Kuhn zone. The Kuhn structure is subparallel to, and lies 25 to 100m south, of the Rainbow Two Zone in this area. This structure will be tested by the same drill holes proposed to delineate the western limits of the Rainbow Two Zone from the upcoming 230m extension of the Ridge Access Drift.

The drill hole specifications are listed below.

Diamond Drill Hole Specifications
Hole No. Location (UTM) Depth
Northing Easting Elev. (m) Azimuth Dip (m)
SC05-37 6671172 477678 1304 134 -36 155.5
SC05-38 6671172 477678 1304 136 -23 137.8

The 2005 drilling program is under the supervision of Chrisropher Naas, P.Geo. of CME Managing Consultants Inc., a qualified person under NI 43-101. All samples were shipped in sealed packaging to Eco Tech Laboratory in Kamloops, BC for preparation and analyses. Samples which returned values greater than 900 ppb gold (Au) by ICP were fire assayed for gold.
