Tahltan Central Government Welcomes New Lands Director to Build Tahltan Lands Department

The Tahltan Central Government (TCG) is pleased to announce the addition of Christine Creyke as TCG Lands Director. This newly created position advances the creation of a Tahltan Lands Department, bringing together the administration of the environment, wildlife and resources under one cohesive department aimed at strengthening the TCG's overall management of Tahltan lands.

Christine's educational background in environmental science coupled with her firsthand knowledge of Tahltan heritage and culture will be a huge addition to our team and ensure responsible and sustainable management of Tahltan lands, as well as reinforce Tahltan title and rights," said TCG President Chad Day.

Creyke will lead development of the Tahltan Lands Department, including working with industry and government to ensure sustainable economic development opportunities and developing programs that ensure the long-term sustainability of natural resources in Tahltan traditional territory. She will be the point of contact for resource development projects and environmental reviews, based at the TCG Dease Lake office.
