Tailored Social Commerce: Sellaround Introduces New Applications


STUTTGART, GERMANY and BERLIN--(Marketwire - Jul 9, 2012) - Social commerce provider Sellaround (www.sellaround.net) continues to enhance its offerings. With the introduction of the core applications "Selling Widget," "Promotion Widget," "Shop" and "Social Actions Plugin" vendors can now promote and spread their offers even more individually on the social web. All types of social commerce are possible: in streams (e.g. Facebook timeline), on Facebook pages, on mobile devices and on conventional websites.

Selling Widget App: Sell one product
If someone wants to sell a single product on the internet, this is the app they want to use. The basic function of the Sellaround idea is particularly suitable for deal-campaigns in which a product is available for a certain time or in a limited quantity. In a widget (banner and shop in one) embedded directly on the page, customers can complete the purchase process without leaving the page.

Shop App: Sell several products
The shop app was developed for vendors who wish to sell multiple products on Facebook or on the web. It is suitable for e-commerce beginners, such as small businesses, musicians, authors, publishers or retailers. Web shop operators and major brands can also use this feature as a separate Facebook campaign shop. The shop can be used both as a stand-alone link and it can also be integrated into an existing website, blog or Facebook page.

Promotion Widget App: "Social Banner"
This app is similar to the Selling Widget App, but it does not provide a store function. Clicking it leads to an external product link, such as an online store operated by the vendor. Individual products from the vendor's assortment can therefore be promoted attractively on Facebook. It is simply added to the Facebook timeline -- analogous to the integration of a Youtube video.

Social Actions App: The "Like" button, just further developed
This feature provides a new type of on-site advertising. Based on the "Like" button on Facebook, Sellaround users can add appropriate buttons such as "I want," "I have," "I love," and "I bought" for the product, which reflects the mood and feelings of the users in more detail. When a user clicks on these buttons, a promotional widget will appear in their Facebook timeline. The app makes the buttons available as a code module that vendors can embed on their own website in the source code -- similar to the "Like" button.
