Taku Samples up to 455.76 Grams Per Tonne Gold in Trenches at Portland Property, Yukon

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 7, 2010) - Taku Gold Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:TAK) is pleased to announce results from a mechanical trenching program completed on the 75-claim (1553ha) Portland property in late October 2010. The property is located at the headwaters Portland and Gold Run creeks approximately 45km southeast of Dawson City in the Klondike area of Yukon. Both creeks have produced placer gold historically and placer mining is still underway on Gold Run. The trenching was completed at the historical Gold Run showing (Yukon Minefile No. 115O 063). Six trenches were dug at 50m intervals along a strike length of 250m of a poorly exposed sulphide-bearing quartz-breccia vein that makes up the showing. A total of 22 chip samples were systematically collected across the mineralized structure at 1.0m intervals. The best values were obtained in Trench No. 4 where the vein structure averaged 97.23gpt Au (uncut) over 7.0m with a maximum value of 455.76gpt Au. The sampling results are summarized as follows:

All analytical work was completed at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. ("Acme") in Vancouver, British Columbia. Acme is accredited under ISO 9001. Rock samples were prepared by crushing 1kg to 80% passing -10 mesh and then pulverizing a 250g sub-sample to 85% passing -200 mesh. Rocks were analyzed for gold by 30g fire assay, ICP-ES finish. Over limit (>10gpt Au) samples were re-assayed by 30g fire assay, gravimetric finish. Mark Fekete, P.Geo is the designated "qualified person" as defined in Section 1.2 in and for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 responsible for reviewing the technical content of this release.
