Third Annual Award and Benchmarking Program Honors Companies Providing Job Applicants With a Quality Candidate Experience

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2013) - Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a positive candidate experience, announced the winners of the third annual North American Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards at the 16th Annual HR Technology® Conference & Exposition. "The winners of the 2013 CandE Awards have certainly raised the bar in terms of providing an exceptional candidate experience and showing their peers what a successful candidate engagement strategy should look like," said Sue Meisinger, a judge for the 2013 awards. "Along with my fellow judges, we are proud to recognize the companies that demonstrate their commitment to developing and implementing the practices that enable an enhanced candidate experience and add value to the recruitment function."

In today's highly competitive hiring environment, the ability to provide a transparent and insightful candidate experience can give any organization a significant advantage. Although the CandE Awards is a competition, it was developed to enable any company to benchmark and improve their candidate experience, based on comprehensive surveys conducted by their job candidates. Following an extensive selection process, the CandE Awards recognize all companies that meet the standard of candidate experience excellence in 2013.

"The findings from this year's surveys show that nearly 60 percent of candidates have some aspect of a relationship with the company before they applied, whether as a customer or a friend or relative of a current employee," said Elaine Orler, chairman and co-founder of the Talent Board. "When companies are able to deliver a positive candidate experience, they continue to foster quality relationships with these individuals and build respect. The organizations selected as CandE Award winners show a firm understanding of the need to continuously improve their recruitment practices and provide their job applicants with a positive, rewarding and insightful candidate experience, regardless of whether or not they are hired."

Attendees of the HR Technology Conference & Exposition will learn more about the winners and those designated with distinction for how they exceed in providing a stellar candidate experience during "The Third Annual Candidate Experience Awards - The CandEs!" session, today at 4:00 p.m. PDT. During the session, this year's winners will share ideas, strategies and the enabling technologies that have placed them in the winner's circle.

In addition, the initial findings and preliminary details from the 2013 CandE Awards research will be published in the following months, and pre-registration for the report can be accessed at: http://nam.thecandidateexperienceawards.org/download-the-2012-report/.
