Talent Board to Host Inaugural EMEA Candidate Experience Symposium and Awards Reception

Event to Highlight Best Recruiting Practices, Honor Companies From Across EMEA Region Demonstrating Candidate Experience Excellence

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Nov 19, 2015) - Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the promotion and data benchmark research of a quality candidate experience, today announced details of the first-ever EMEA Candidate Experience Symposium and Awards Reception, taking place at The Brewery in London on December 1, 2015.

"As more employers around the globe recognize the importance of providing a transparent, positive and rewarding recruiting process, we saw fit to expand the Candidate Experience Awards to EMEA and offer employers in the region the insights to continually improve their candidate experience," said Elaine Orler, Talent Board co-founder and chairman, and CEO of Talent Function. "We are thrilled to present the first Candidate Experience Symposium for the entire region, where we will share the most cutting-edge ideas and practices in recruitment and, of course, recognize the winners of the 2015 program."

The EMEA Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards is a competition and benchmarking program designed to help employers across the U.K. and the entire Europe, Middle East and Africa region learn how they can improve their candidate experience, while recognizing those organizations that get it right. Following a comprehensive evaluation process consisting of an employer survey round as well as a survey of each participating company's 2014 and 2015 employment candidates, those employers shown to provide a stellar candidate experience are designated as CandE Award winners.

During this inaugural event, talent acquisition leaders from across the region and representing various industries will gather to learn the best practices that can help them achieve candidate experience excellence. With sessions led by some of the most prominent thinkers and thought leaders in the recruiting space, attendees will gain a deep understanding of the current state of candidate experience, including candidate behaviors, preferred methods of communication and overall expectations. They'll also learn actionable insights that can be used to improve talent acquisition efforts at their organizations.

Among the highlights of the symposium will be the keynote session, delivered by Jonathan Campbell, CEO of Social Talent, who will share his ideas on how to turn every talent acquisition professional into a "black belt" in recruitment. In addition, attendees will witness engaging conversations from today's leaders in candidate experience through sessions including the panel, "How to Create the Ultimate Hiring Experience" and the group discussion, "Why Improving Hiring Manager Engagement is Good Candidate Experience." Attendees will also partake in a special reception during which the winners of the 2015 EMEA CandE Awards will be formally announced and celebrated.

Talent Board founders Elaine Orler; Gerry Crispin, chief navigator at CareerXroads; Ed Newman, vice president of Strategy for Phenom People; and Leigh Carpenter, co-founder of the EMEA program, will also be on hand to share the results of the 2014/2015 EMEA CandE Awards program. This report shows the leading trends in candidate experience across the region and key insights on how candidates view their experience applying to participating companies.
