Taleo's Online Talent Management Community Gains Momentum

"Talent Grid" Used for Global Collaboration, Candidate Sourcing and Solution Purchases; Company Creates New Business Unit to Support Rapid Growth and Adoption

DUBLIN, CA--(Marketwire - March 22, 2010) -  A few months after launching its Talent Grid™ set of online communities, Taleo Corporation (NASDAQ: TLEO) announced today that it is exceeding its development and usage goals and has created a new business unit to support its rapid growth and adoption. The company has appointed Michael Boese to the newly created position of General Manager, Talent Grid and Group Vice President of Corporate Business Development. Taleo plans to continue to build out a dedicated staff of development, production, marketing, distribution and services professionals to support this business unit as demand grows.

The first and only cloud-based community of its kind, the Talent Grid offers Taleo customers unprecedented value and the ability to drive superior business performance. This is made possible by harnessing the power of collaboration. By pairing social networking with Talent Management, Taleo's Talent Grid is bringing together thousands, and potentially millions, to share knowledge, offer insights and solve problems.

A set of three online exchanges, the Talent Grid provides a forum for Taleo customers, partners and job seekers to share best and "next" practices, discover innovative solutions and interact to match up the world's top jobs with the best talent. The Talent Grid includes: the Knowledge Exchange, an online customer community; the Solution Exchange, a partner ecosystem; and the Talent Exchange, a marketplace where candidates and companies can connect. All three communities are built on and connected by a collaborative Web 2.0 framework. The Talent Grid is accessible as a convenient extension of Taleo's on-demand Talent Management solutions for companies of all sizes.

"At Taleo, we recognize the power of great Talent Management to transform and lead business performance," said Michael Gregoire, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are delighted at the early, powerful response by the world's largest Talent Management ecosystem -- Taleo's customers, partners and candidates -- to collaborate, strategize and streamline their talent decisions through the Talent Grid since its launch in September. I am confident that under Mike Boese's experienced leadership, the Talent Grid will continue to grow and further empower organizations of all sizes to transform their workforces and their business performance. "

Michael Boese joined Taleo in 2006 as Group Vice President for Corporate Business Development. In this role, he has been responsible for identifying and building new market opportunities to help Taleo capitalize on industry trends that will continue to advance corporate growth. This has included the strategic development of the Talent Grid since 2008. With over 15 years of software and business building experience, Mr. Boese has worked with some of the technology industry's largest and most recognized companies, including SAP and PeopleSoft.

Talent Grid In Action: Community Adoption Updates

Talent Exchange: Candidate Sourcing Marketplace
The Taleo Talent Exchange, used by over 50 customers across all industries, is a collaborative online marketplace that has the potential to bring together more than 200 million candidates and 550,000 new jobs each quarter into one community.

"The Talent Exchange is an excellent addition to our sourcing strategy that allows us to take good care of the people who apply with us," said Kim Mattingly, Talent Resource Manager at Gallup.

"Through the Talent Exchange, we made a hire for a hard-to-fill position within days of posting the job," said Angela Lespierre, Recruiting Systems Administrator at Apria Healthcare.

Likewise, job candidates commend the Talent Exchange for streamlining their job search efforts.

"Recently, I applied to 3 jobs at 8 companies; each application took 45 minutes. Utilizing the Universal Profile is going to be a huge time saver," said a Manufacturing industry candidate.

"No longer will I need to manage multiple files. I can store all my professional experience in one place," said a Technology industry candidate.

Solution Exchange: Applications Marketplace for Talent Solutions
Taleo's Solution Exchange, which has scaled to more than 100 solutions and 59 partners, provides a marketplace where customers will be able to quickly evaluate, demo and activate partner solutions that extend the value of their Taleo products -- without ever leaving the site.

"We've had terrific exposure to our brand from the day the Solution Exchange launched, which is great for a company in an emerging space like ours. It's a powerful example of the commitment Taleo has to its partners," said Josh Schwede, Vice President of Business Development for HireVue, a provider of Internet-based video interviewing solutions that are integrated into Taleo products.

Knowledge Exchange: Social Network for Talent Management
Participation in Taleo's Knowledge Exchange, an online customer community that facilitates the ability to share and discuss a wide range of talent management topics in a quick and social manner, has grown four-fold since its September launch. Early participants have driven hundreds of active discussions, uploaded content and even shared sample code.

Judy Johnsen, HRIS Manager at CSC, said "The Knowledge Exchange is a critical tool we use daily. It helps us get our jobs done more efficiently with 24/7 access to a wealth of expertise from a network highly-tuned to share ideas collaboratively."
