TANDBERG Callway Is the First Subscription-Based Hosted Service That Provides Business-Quality Video for Small Deployments

New Low-Cost, 'Plug-And-Play' Solution Offers True High-Definition Video Collaboration

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 23, 2010) -  Continuing to lead the way in enabling video access for everyone, TANDBERG® (OSLO: TAA) today introduced Callway; the first low cost subscription-based hosted service to deliver high-definition video and voice communications across the internet. Callway, initially available in the U.S., is designed for businesses interested in video deployments of 10 or fewer endpoints. Callway is affordable, includes full customer support, can be installed in minutes and needs no IT resources to get started.

"As video communication becomes more pervasive, access to high-definition video capabilities is critical," said, Larry Satterfield, president of Americas Commercial for TANDBERG. "With Callway, we're simplifying access to video collaboration for companies in need of small-scale deployments. The service provides an intuitive user experience, is easy to set up with simple plug-and-play connectivity, and leverages the customer's existing broadband. This type of low cost service is a major step toward ensuring video access for everyone."

Purchasing a Callway subscription works much like purchasing a mobile phone subscription. Customers work with a TANDBERG Partner to select their preferred video endpoints and then the Partner activates the service, which automatically supplies the customer with a local phone number for each system. The customer can immediately begin making video and voice calls to any other Callway subscriber, any other standards-based video conferencing and telepresence system provisioned for external calling, and any domestic landline or cell phone. Callway's low monthly subscription cost, ease-of-use and technical support make it the ideal solution for small businesses to take advantage of the benefits of visual collaboration.

"Callway enables us to provide a flexible video conferencing solution that delivers industry leading service and products to a customer base that has previously not been served," said Ken Zorzi, President and founder of KBZ Communications, Inc., a TANDBERG Partner. "This is another innovative solution from TANDBERG that helps ensure all businesses have access to high-quality video and TANDBERG Partners have attractive options to expand their customer base."

Endpoints currently available through Callway:

TANDBERG will showcase Callway at VoiceCon 2010 in Orlando, Fla. in booth #401 from March 23-25. The Callway pilot will begin in the U.S. at the end of April 2010 and is by invitation-only. Callway will be publicly available in the U.S. in Q3 2010.
