Tango Targeting 100 Employees by Year End, Adds 25 Engineers to U.S. Team in Last Three Months

Plans to Open Beijing Office Underway to Accelerate Tremendous Growth; Former YouSendIt Executive Gary Chevsky Joins Tango to Lead Engineering

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 5, 2011) - Tango, the leader in mobile video calling, today announced that it is rapidly scaling the organization to meet the tremendous growth of the service, having added 25 engineers to the team over the past three months bringing the total number of employees to 55. The organization aims to grow to 100 employees by year-end. To lead engineering efforts, Gary Chevsky has joined the team as Vice President of Engineering.

In this role, Gary will drive and execute the technology roadmap to ensure that Tango members continue to receive the highest level of quality. He will manage a rapidly growing team of 45 engineers to continue the company's trajectory as the leader for mobile video calling and scale the service for more than 17 million people in 190 countries. Gregory Dorso, who has been instrumental in building the service, has been named Vice President of Technology and Chief Architect of Tango.

Gary brings more than 20 years of experience to Tango, most recently acting as Vice President of Product Development and Operations at YouSendIt, the leader in secure digital file delivery on the Web. In that role, he was critical to the success of the organization, tripling the size of the engineering team and re-launching an entire new platform and new services for more than 30 million consumers and enterprise customers. Tango To Open Office In China
Tango has been adding on average four to six engineers to the team each month. The company is aggressively recruiting the best engineers from around the globe to rapidly scale the service, add new features and launch the service on new platforms. To further accelerate research and development, Tango is opening an office in the Haidian District of Beijing, which is the Silicon Valley of China. Yixin Yang, Tango's second hire, is opening the office and plans to lead a team of talented engineers in China. The company strategically recruits engineering talent from all over the world with Silicon Valley and Beijing being the hot spots.
