Tarsis Samples 39.8 g/t Gold, Defines High-Grade Gold Zone at White River, Yukon

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 24, 2011) - Tarsis Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:TCC) ("Tarsis") is pleased to provide final results from the 2010 exploration program at its White River property, Yukon. Detail prospecting has identified a high-grade, east-trending gold zone (HG Zone), defined by strongly anomalous gold in soil response over an 800 meter strike length. Locally derived talus samples returned gold values below detection to 39.8 g/t gold within an approximately 200 meter portion of the anomaly. A map showing the soil and rock sample values and locations can be seen at http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/tcc124.pdf.

In total, 267 select prospecting samples were collected from the White River property, yielding values ranging from below detection to 39.8 g/t gold, 4 ppm to 8.52% copper and below detection to 1,310 g/t silver. A table of the most significant results is presented below.

Within the HG zone, strongly anomalous gold values are associated with semi-massive arsenopyrite, limonite and argentiferous tetrahedrite. This zone appears to coincide partially with the contact between a hornblende gabbro unit and intermediate to mafic volcanic rocks that are thought to be underlain by Nisling Range granodiorite.

Approximately 1.3 kilometers southwest of the HG zone, the South Zone consists of a semi-continuous west-northwest linear gold in soil anomaly with values ranging from 18 ppb to 170 ppb. The South Zone is approximately one kilometre long and select talus samples returned gold assays ranging from below detection to 0.78 g/t gold. A prominent outcrop within the South Zone features abundant scorodite alteration, indicating the presence of high levels of arsenic. Arsenic in soil values range from 6 ppm to 2,130 ppm.

Tarsis has staked an additional 140 claims to cover prospective geology north and east of the original claim block. Preliminary prospecting at a site 4.2 kilometers north of the HG zone collected eleven select float samples with assays ranging from below detection to 0.16 g/t gold.

Preliminary prospecting at a site 8 kilometers east of the HG zone collected 23 select talus samples with assays ranging from below detection to 0.17 g/t gold.

Trace element geochemistry in select rock samples at White River includes anomalous bismuth with values ranging from below detection to 1,585 ppm, antimony with values ranging from below detection to 516 ppm and molybdenum ranging from below detection to 57 ppm.

In total, 933 soil samples were collected from the property during 2010 on a grid spacing of 100 meters by 100 meters (plots of anomalous elements are shown on the Tarsis website).

Tarsis intends to offer the White River property for option to enthusiastic exploration companies with technical and financial capabilities.

The property is located at the western end of the Nisling Range, within the Tintina Gold Province. It is situated 11 kilometers north of Koidern, a minor settlement on the paved, all weather Alaska Highway (http://www.tarsis.ca/images/WRLocationMap.png). The property now consists of 308 claims, comprising approximately 6,400 hectares.

Assaying was conducted by ALS Chemex in North Vancouver, BC, which is an ISO 9001:2000 certified laboratory. Samples were analyzed using industry standard 41-element inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry package with fire assay and atomic absorption spectroscopy for gold analyses.
