A Taste of Ireland in Downtown Denver: Katie Mullen's Irish Restaurant & Pub at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Mar 4, 2014) - In Denver, everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day, especially guests at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. To celebrate the beloved saint's day, Katie Mullen's Irish Restaurant & Pub plans a five day celebration with live music, Irish dance, special events and of course a pint o' Guinness and a shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Festivities begin on March 13 with the traditional Irish Group Bodha. On Friday, March 14, Denver's favorite Irish band *Pinch of Snuff returns to Denver from Ireland for the 6th consecutive year to celebrate, along with a bagpiper and Celtic Steps Irish dancers. On March 15, Katie's opens at 7: 00 a.m. for Irish breakfast, and live music begins at 8:00 am. Pinch of Snuff, Averneen, the Michael Collins Pipe Band and Celtic Steps Irish Dancers are all scheduled to entertain. On March 16, Katie's opens at 11:00 a.m. with live music from Pinch of Snuff and authentic Irish Dancers from the cast of RIVERDANCE will teach Irish step dance. On St. Patrick's Day, Katie's opens for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and live music begins at 8:00 a.m. Pinch of Snuff, the Michael Collins Pipe Band and the Celtic Steps Irish Dancers will entertain throughout the day.

*Pinch of Snuff is an acclaimed traditional Irish musical group hailing from the banks of the Shannon River in County Leitrim. When in Ireland, they can be found in one of Katie Mullen's sister bars such as The Swan or Dunne's Bar, both in Carrick-on-Shannon, home to the real Katie Mullen. For the past six years, Pinch of Snuff has joined friends at Katie Mullen's Irish Restaurant & Pub to entertain and celebrate the holiday.
