"Sneek & The Geek" Features Whiz Kids Hosting Options Trading Show for Millennials

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Apr 30, 2012) - tastytrade ( the fastest-growing online financial network, announces the launch of "Sneek & The Geek," a 30-minute weekly series featuring two math whiz kids as hosts and 32 smart, young contestants battling for a winner-take-all $5,000 grand prize.

"Sneek & The Geek" is the first financial network trading show geared for millennials, and novice investors of any age group. Hosted by Sonika Singh, a University of Chicago freshman, and Jacob Pearlman, a University of Chicago doctoral candidate in mathematics, "Sneek & The Geek" focuses on understanding probabilities and applying strategic concepts to their investments.

"This is the first financial series that takes the complex math of trading probabilities and not only turns it into an exciting game show, but does it in a fun and informative way," said Tom Sosnoff, tastytrade's CEO. "We had an open casting call in Chicago and found gamers, college students, and math experts. They came in with no trading expertise or knowledge, and absolutely blew us away with how they were able to answer questions about odds, strategy, and valuation. We jumped out of our seats when the winning team answered the final question."

This is the first show that tastytrade produced entirely in-house, a result of its recently announced acquisitions of ki edit + design, and Quiet Foundation. In a matter of weeks, tastytrade developed the entire show, including concept, casting, script, and pre-and post-production.

Sosnoff adds, "'Sneek & The Geek' is the first of many new financial shows being developed by tastytrade with the primary goal of challenging investors to think differently."
