Taylor Lautner Survives First Motorbike Ride

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Nov. 26, 2009) - Hollywood heartthrob Taylor Lautner has revealed that he had never been on a motorbike before filming scenes for his latest film, Twilight: New Moon.

One of the scenes from the Twilight sequel features Lautner riding a motorbike, something he'd never done before shooting the film. Lautner explains "I'd never ridden a dirt bike before in my life, so I had a lot of practice and rehearsal for those very important five seconds of me riding it up and throwing it down."

"Actually, we were losing light fast that day, so they were like 'You got to get this in two takes max.' And I was like 'Guys, I've never ridden a dirt bike before! I need a lot of takes!' So yeah, we were definitely only given two takes."

The film, which opens in UK cinemas today, follows the tale of a family of vampires and the relationship between Edward (played by Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart).

Anthony Aronin, Head of Swinton Bikes, one of the UK's leading providers of motorbike insurance said: "Riding a motorbike for the first time can be quite daunting, so Taylor did very well to shoot the scene in just two takes with so little time to practice."
