TBA Global Names Andre Mika Senior Vice President, Digital Creative

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 28, 2011) - TBA Global, a leading engagement marketing and communications agency, today announced André Mika has joined as Senior Vice President, Digital Creative and will head its digital practice. Mika joins TBA Global from the National Hockey League, where he redesigned and re-launched NHL.com, NHL Network Online and NHL GameCenter LIVE apps, increasing the brand's online and mobile engagement by nearly 400%.

Under his leadership, NHL.com was named one of the "Top 5 Digital Businesses in America" by Fast Company magazine and the website won multiple Webby awards. Mika was named as one of the "20 Most Influential People in Digital Sports Media" by the Sports Business Journal in 2009. During Mika's tenure at the NHL, he also wrote and produced the 2009 NHL Awards from Las Vegas and produced the NHL Winter Classic from Chicago, Boston and Pittsburgh.

Earlier in his career at Disney, Mika produced story-based consumer products for Disney's top animated brands. He also launched the International Productions Division at DreamWorks and dubbed "The Prince of Egypt" into 30 languages as music director.

A gourmet chef and former restaurateur, Mika shares his passion for Cajun food through his blog "Fork New York." He will work out of TBA Global's New York and Chicago offices.
