TBR Research Reveals Strong Expansion of Global and India-Based Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Vendors Delivering Services From Eastern Europe

HAMPTON, NH--(Marketwire - June 18, 2008) - TBR is pleased to announce the publishing of its research paper, "BPO Delivery from Eastern Europe: Market & Provider Overview." The new report offers end users and vendors an overview of the Eastern European BPO market, the key differences between countries in the region, profiles of the key BPO vendors and fundamental considerations when choosing a BPO provider and a delivery location.

TBR estimates that Eastern Europe presently accounts for almost $1 billion in BPO exports, offering a magnitude of European languages support and a proven alternative to India for some BPO tasks. Increased acceptance of nearshoring, coupled with the consolidation of captive BPO organizations, will continue to drive growth in this attractive market.

"While India can provide an effective offshore location for English-speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, language skills for other Western European countries are lacking -- and Eastern Europe is proving to be a successful nearshore option," says Senior Analyst Lindy Hanson, of TBR's Professional Services Business Quarterly.

The Indian vendors (Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Genpact, etc.) have established small but expanding operations in the region, while the global vendors (IBM Global Services, Accenture, HP Services, EDS, etc.) continue to aggressively expand headcount, especially in lower-cost countries such as Romania. "In addition, as the market for Eastern European-delivered BPO services continues to mature, the vendors will continue to expand into higher-value services," says Eugene Zakharov, Director of TBR's Professional Services Business Quarterly. "We are already seeing IBM and Accenture offer more advanced services, such as human resource outsourcing, out of their Eastern European branches."

Companies covered in this report include: Accenture, Capgemini, EDS, Genpact, HP Services, IBM Global Services, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro.

Countries covered in this report include: Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic.
