TCW's Laird Landmann and Jamie Farnham to Discuss MetWest High Yield Bond Fund on Conference Call

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 10, 2011) - The TCW Group (TCW), an international asset-management firm, invites you to participate in a conference call on Wednesday, May 11 with Laird Landmann and Jamie Farnham, portfolio managers of the MetWest High Yield Bond Fund (MWHIX/MWHYX). The title of their presentation is "Time to Grow Up? Finding Relative Value in a Maturing Credit Cycle."

"Based on our favorite metrics, we are likely in the early to middle portion of the third and final stage of the typical credit cycle," says Mr. Landmann.

"Our full cycle approach leads us to favor more risky credits when high yield spreads are wide and to overweight less risky credits as the cycle matures and spreads tighten," adds Mr. Farnham.

The $2.3 billion MetWest High Yield Bond Fund invests across the below-investment-grade fixed income universe. The Fund seeks to optimize total return while striving to have lower volatility than its benchmark consistent with preservation of capital. It seeks to achieve these objectives by positioning the portfolio appropriately across all points of the credit cycle. Industry allocation and maturity distribution are determined through an integration of macroeconomic analysis and fundamental credit research of individual securities.

A Word about Risk
The Fund invests in below investment grade bonds and may be less liquid and subject to greater volatility. The Fund is subject to the same risks as the underlying bonds in the portfolio such as credit, prepayment, call and interest rate risk. As interest rates rise the value of bond prices will decline. The Fund may also invest in more aggressive investments such as foreign securities which may expose the fund to currency and exchange rate fluctuations as well as derivatives. The use of certain derivatives may also have a leveraging effect which may increase the volatility of the Fund and reduce its returns.
