Teachers Raise the Bar on Humanity

Attention: Assignment Editor, Education Editor, Health/Medical Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 5, 2005) - On May 10, 2005 the Elementary Teachers of Toronto are sponsoring a fundraiser for HIV/AIDS in Africa. The evening will feature greetings by Stephen Lewis, UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, followed by a trivia team challenge.

This event marks the launch of a fundraising campaign among Toronto's Elementary Teachers to encourage their 10,000 colleagues in the public school system to make a regular donation to the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario Humanity Fund, which donates all proceeds to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
