Teak Technologies Invited to Join the Microsoft Partner Solutions Center

Teak Technologies Transforms IBM BladeCenter Into an Applications Acceleration Zone With Its Pioneering AZ-10GE Switching Solution Targeted at Worldwide Service Providers Using Microsoft's Mediaroom, a Platform for Multimedia and IPTV

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - March 3, 2008) - Teak Technologies, today announced that it has joined the Microsoft Partner Solutions Center (MPSC) program in Redmond, Washington.

"We are pleased to have Teak Technologies join the Microsoft Partner Solutions Center's collaborative community," said David Hayes, director of the MPSC at Microsoft Corp. "Teak's innovative AZ-10GE switching solution represents a watershed event in the networking industry. It is the first company to deliver the performance our service provider customers demand as they deploy Microsoft's Mediaroom multimedia and IPTV platform."

"We are honored to be associated with the MPSC. This is a tremendous opportunity that allows us to promote our solutions portfolio to service provider and enterprise customers alike. We are excited to deliver the I3000, Teak's breakthrough AZ-10GE switching solution for IBM BladeCenter, as an integrated platform for Microsoft's multimedia applications," said Bob Schack, vice president sales and business development at Teak Technologies.

Teak's I3000 solution consists of an AZ-10GE switch module and AZ-10GE NICs. It is the first solution to connect blade servers with all four switch modules to deliver 400Gbps of load-invariant loss-free throughput to BladeCenter servers. "Our ability to provide a completely non-blocking configuration was an important criterion for IPTV service providers," said Sanjay Dua, chief marketing officer at Teak Technologies. "In its Acceleration Zone switching mode, the I3000 overcomes networking artifacts to accelerate IPTV applications in a manner previously unattainable on ordinary 10GE."

The MPSC takes advantage of the combined resources of Microsoft partners and is located in Redmond, WA in a 21,000 square-foot state-of-art facility with over $100 million in IT equipment uniquely designed to demonstrate customer solutions running at scale. Each solution can be customized for specific customer needs and organizational structures.
