TEC International Honors Canadian Business Leader; Joff Grohne of Vancouver, British Columbia Wins Nourse Award

SAN DIEGO--(CCNMatthews - Nov 11, 2005) -

TEC International recently named Joff Grohne of Vancouver, British Columbia, the recipient of the Nourse Award. The honor is presented annually to one or more "Chairs" (group facilitators), who have provided exceptional value to their TEC group members.

In 1957, Robert Nourse founded The Executive Committee (TEC) based on a desire to help company presidents and executives run better businesses. Nearly 50 years later, TEC International, the world's largest CEO membership organization, represents more than $307 billion in annual revenues and more than 1.8 million employees.

Grohne co-founded and ran a design and marketing company for 30 years, with offices in Vancouver and Calgary. During that time, he was a TEC member for several years. After selling his company to his employees, Grohne became a TEC Chair in 1996 and currently runs a TEC group in Vancouver.

"While every TEC Chair is committed to making a positive difference for his or her members, occasionally the performance of a Chair rises to a level that stands out from the crowd," said Rafael Pastor, CEO and Chairman of the Board for TEC. "For these reasons, we were pleased to honor Joff Grohne."

Pastor made the remarks at the recent 2005 International Leaders Conference held in Washington, D.C.
