Tech Pioneer Brett Error Joins Domo as Chief Scientist and Chief Strategy Officer

14-Year Omniture CTO Brings Experience Building World's Second Largest Data System to Domo

SILICON SLOPES, UT --(Marketwired - April 22, 2013) - Today Domo announced that tech pioneer Brett Error has joined the company as chief scientist and chief strategy officer. In this role, Error will work with the CEO to define corporate strategy as well as with the CTO and product team to shape the direction of Domo's infrastructure and technologies.

For 14 years, Error served as Omniture's CTO leading the company's product development. There he designed and developed the world's first enterprise SaaS/on-demand software system, which scaled to handle more than 1.5 trillion transactions per quarter and serve more than 6,000 customers. Under his leadership, Omniture became one of the world's largest data systems, second only to Akamai.

"I've spent more than a decade helping customers leverage their web data to improve the success of their business," said Error. "Web data is certainly plentiful and valuable, but it's just one pipe of information and represents only a tiny fraction of what Domo is addressing. I'm eager to astound customers with value derived from ALL their data systems."

In addition to owning Omniture's organic product development, Error was responsible for integrating technologies from acquired companies to further enrich the Omniture platform, which ended up being six times larger than the closest competitor.

"Brett is one of the most innovative and talented tech leaders I've ever met," said Josh James, Domo founder and CEO. "He perfectly executed on building Omniture's technology and infrastructure. Since he won't be consumed with the all-encompassing responsibilities of the CTO, he will have more time to work with me on synthesizing the Domo vision and strategy, and focusing on special projects and new technologies. I'm convinced that working with Brett more frequently on a strategic level will be even better than the first time around."

Domo CTO, Daren Thayne, who previously served as CTO of Ancestry.com for 10 years, said, "We've been recruiting Brett for more than half a year and I'm thrilled that he's joining us. I was one of Brett's largest customers and always admired the Omniture product and the scalability of the system. His expertise will be instrumental in helping us maintain our edge as we move into the future. Our areas of expertise are very complementary and I'm excited to have Brett as another resource to help me continue to drive the innovation of our platform."

"I am thrilled to work with Brett again on an opportunity that is far more extensive and exciting than the one we addressed while at Omniture. Brett's decision to join Domo reinforces my belief that fulfilling the mission and vision of Domo will leave an imprint that's far more meaningful than any other opportunity that exists. I'm excited to have Brett join us as we continue to push the limits on what is possible."

Error added, "It's great to rejoin a proven team -- Josh, Chris, Steve Wellen, Cathy Donahoe, Doug Grounds, Mark Dillon, Mark Stock, Julie Kehoe, Viper and roughly 20 others -- that scaled Omniture to become the fastest-growing public software company. I'm looking forward to working with them and the world-class team Josh has assembled to make Domo what we believe will be one of the most transformational companies of our time."

Error officially joins Domo today.
