Tech Startup Arity to Put Knowledge on Display at Connected Car Insurance USA Conference & Exhibition

Vice President Chetan Phadnis and New Product Director Katie DeGraaf to Share Insurance, Connectivity Insights at Major Industry Event

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Aug 30, 2017) - Arity's new director of product for insurance solutions, Katie DeGraaf, is set to make her public debut with the company at this year's Connected Car Insurance USA Conference and Exhibition in Chicago. Arity Vice President Chetan Phadnis will join her, and the executives will participate in speaking engagements throughout the two-day event.

Recently joining Arity from Willis Towers Watson -- where she played a key role in launching its DriveAbility solution -- DeGraaf will bring a wealth of insurance domain knowledge to the stage. She has worked with companies across insurance, telecom and auto manufacturing industries to deploy telematics programs for insurance applications across the globe. At the upcoming conference, DeGraaf will present a keynote address about rate modeling with telematics data.

Arity is a premier sponsor of Connected Car Insurance USA, which is considered the largest and most informative conference for thought leaders and executives from the connected car and automobile industries. Keynote addresses and group forums will discuss topics that additionally include digital innovation, automated claims, autonomous safety and regulatory roadblocks.

"As a technology startup, we're focused on leveraging digital connectivity to make people's lives better and our roads safer," said Gary Hallgren, president of Arity. "But we're unique in the fact that we also bring the insurance industry sensibilities and experience of a company that has been an insurance leader for 80-plus years. We're proud to not only sponsor this event, but to share the distinct point of view we have on the changing landscape of mobility with such a prestigious group of thought leaders."

Phadnis will join Solstice CTO Mike Koleno and moderator Jeffrey Hannah, director, SBD North America, for a panel discussion titled "Moving at Startup Pace with Digital Foundations." During his time working at Allstate's Connected Car Program, Phadnis and his team helped create the industry's first smartphone-based UBI product, putting him at the crossroads of insurance and consumer connectivity.
