TechExcel's 2007 Users Conference Explores How Development Environments Can Add Business Value Through Collaborative Technologies

Event Agenda Reveals Industry and Customer Best Practices Using ALM/ITSM

LAFAYETTE, CA--(Marketwire - September 25, 2007) - TechExcel, Inc., the leading provider in unified Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) software, has published the agenda for the 2007 Users Conference and Training Summit to be held October 1 - 5 in San Francisco. The TechExcel Worldwide Users Conference and Training Summit is a five-day event that will take an in-depth look at the state of the ALM and ITSM marketplace and how these technologies are bringing together more than 20 technical and business sessions and workshops.

The complexity of software development and enterprise deployments is ever increasing. To address the issues, today's most innovative businesses are looking to ALM and ITSM lifecycle solutions from companies like award-winning TechExcel to not only address these complexities but to help differentiate themselves and drive competitive value. The first TechExcel Users Conference and Training Summit is for decision-makers in development and service organizations who see ALM and ITSM as a strategic imperative.

Featured at the event will be a keynote from Gartner Research VP, Jim Duggan, who will discuss emerging trends in ALM and software development methodologies. Focusing on application development at Gartner, Duggan covers tools and methodologies for analysis, design, quality assurance, software configuration and change management. He has focus areas in application portfolio management and software change and configuration management. Duggan has played both the consumer and provider role in several generations of IT products, with experience in developing products, creating marketing plans for products, and deploying technology in large corporations in the US and abroad.

TechExcel customers will also take a central role in the event, presenting in depth case studies about their use of ALM and ITSM technologies from TechExcel that benefit their companies' development and other support processes. Scheduled talks will include John Morris, director of quality assurance for Kronos, who will examine "Changes in Software Development," Janet Kennedy, director of software support services for Research in Motion, who will be discussing how her organization is successfully using TechExcel technology as RIM continues to evolve and grow, Andrew Koebbe, technical support manager of ECI², who will take a Longview of Customer-Focused Development Environments and focus on how TechExcel products are increasing organizational accountability and user visibility from support incident to defect to test case, Jeffrey S. Langness of Phoenix International, a John Deere Company, who will take a look at incorporating DevTrack into a mature organization, and Erick Rozelle, VP quality & development processes at Sage Software, who will discuss "Driving Quality Standards with DevTrack to Boost Customer Satisfaction Process."

"We are thrilled with the level of customer participation and spirit of sharing technology best practices that will be featured at our first worldwide event," said Dr. Tieren Zhou, CEO and chief software architect at TechExcel. "As we continue to see the convergence of companies under pressure to develop more with less and be more efficient, there is a marked shift in the industry driving ALM as a fundamental way to efficiently manage the development process as well as administer IT services. This event brings together industry leaders that are making ALM a reality in businesses today and we are excited to bring this program to life."

TechExcel invites customers, partners, and ALM and ITSM leaders from the industry at large to participate in the inaugural event. Technical sessions that provide hands-on training and implementation considerations of TechExcel products in real world scenarios will round out the final two days of the event.
