TechFaith Further Expands Global Reach Into African Market

BEIJING--(Marketwire - December 17, 2007) - China TechFaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited (NASDAQ: CNTF), an original design product (ODP) provider focused on research and development of cell phone solutions, today announced the further expansion of its global reach into the African market. The contracts, awarded by the Nigerian operator through its local channel and by the Kenyan operator through its local brand, are for CDMA 1X and mid-end CDMA/GSM dual mode dual standby feature phones. A total of approximately 41,500 units were shipped in early December of 2007 pursuant to the above contracts.
