In the interim, Brian Shutler will expand his role and serve as President of TechLaw Solutions during the transition. He is well supported to drive growth working with a senior leadership team with a combined 175 years of legal industry experience. "Mel has positioned TechLaw for continued positive growth by expanding our e-Discovery offerings to include IaaS and SaaS Managed Services, technology-assisted and predictive coding document review, and consulting services for large-scale litigation and corporate information governance, compliance and risk management," noted Bill Schiefelbein, COO and Managing Director, Consulting at TechLaw Solutions. Mel will continue to serve on the TechLaw Holdings Board of Directors, and will also maintain involvement as a consultant with TechLaw Solutions working with our clients to support their litigation support technology needs. For nearly 35 years Mel has been a leader in the legal industry in litigation support, information management, and technology. Among many accomplishments, Mel was a founder and chairman of the National Association of Legal Vendors (NALV), was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Legal Information Management Services Group at Aspen Systems Corporation for 18 years, co-founded Uniscribe Professional Services in 1998, and was COO of U.S. Legal Solutions before joining TechLaw Solutions as its President.
Brian was named President of TechLaw Holdings in 2008 following 13 years of service with the company. In addition to heading the corporate services groups of TechLaw Holdings, he oversees the operations and financial performance of TechLaw's three subsidiary companies.
