EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Feb. 14, 2013) - Technology Alberta Industry Association will be hosting "Technology Alberta LAUNCH!" on February 21st, 2013 at the AITF Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta. With the association's focus on growing public awareness and increasing public advocacy for Alberta's high tech companies, this event covers important aspects that enhance the business success of all high tech companies in Alberta.
"The time for diversification is now, especially in light of recent events affecting our provincial budget," explains Randy Marsden, Chairman of the Alberta Technology Industry Association Board. "Alberta has all the right ingredients to become a global technology powerhouse- we just need to help make sure those ingredients are mixed together in the right way to make that goal into a reality"
Highlights of the event include guest speakers such as Edmonton entrepreneurs Greg Zeschuk (Co-founder of Bioware), Bruce Johson (former CEO of Intuit), and many others who have created technology success stories in Alberta. Panel discussions and policy break-out sessions will be used to engage and educate attendees on opportunities and tactics that can launch funding and commercialization efforts. The event also includes exhibits from organizations providing commercialization services including Public Relations, Marketing and IP protection.

Registered attendees are also invited to take part in the career event beginning at 5 p.m. (hosted in conjunction with BESTT and Cool Companies). With dozens of job seekers already confirmed, the career event is designed to help Alberta's high tech companies find new employees with science and technology backgrounds.
