Technology Council of Southern California Announces Capital Presenters for VentureNet™ 2009

Thirteen of the Region's Early Stage Technology Companies Selected to Present at VentureNet on October 7, 2009

TORRANCE, CA--(Marketwire - September 29, 2009) - The Technology Council of Southern California, www.tcosc.org, announced today that 13 of the region's emerging technology companies have been selected to give capital presentations to an esteemed group of Venture Capital firms and angel investors at VentureNet™ 2009 (www.VentureNet.org). In its 14th year, VentureNet is Southern California's premier capital conference for early stage technology companies. The event will be held October 7, 2009 at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa, Calif.

The CEO's that have been selected for capital presentations include:

Each company will deliver a 10-minute presentation to an audience of approximately 300 attendees and receive feedback from a panel of investors who have deep experience building technology companies in Southern California. The firms involved include GRP Partners, Intel Capital, MHS Capital, Mission Ventures, Rincon Venture Partners, Steamboat Ventures and Tech Coast Angels. Awards will be given to the company determined by panelists to be the best overall investment opportunity and the audience will select the best overall presentation.

Capital presenter applications were evaluated based on the following criteria:

--  Management team experience
--  Products or service
--  Competition
--  Market growth
--  Proof of concept or customers
--  Business model
--  Capitalization
    

The 13 capital presenters and 30 other additional technology companies will also be demonstrating in the Entrepreneur's Showcase, where much of the conference's networking takes place.
