TechWeb's Intelligent Enterprise Names Nuxeo a 2010 Editors' Choice Winner Showing Exceptional Vision, Innovation and Leadership

Open Source ECM Nuxeo Wins Company to Watch in Information Management Category

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - February 12, 2010) -  Nuxeo, the Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) company, today announced it won TechWeb's Intelligent Enterprise Editors' Choice award that recognizes the most influential technology companies impacting enterprises today. In its 11th year, the awards are a resource guide for IT professionals of technology providers that lead the way in innovation and business optimization.

According to Intelligent Enterprise, "Nuxeo is growing despite -- perhaps because of -- a rocky economy. The open-source enterprise content management (ECM) vendor is expanding in the United States while chugging along nicely in its European home base. Nuxeo's appeal is solid-yet-affordable content management. Business-specific applications and use cases naturally benefit from strong community support."

Nuxeo joins HP, Greenplum, Cloudera, Talend, and Autonomy, among others, in receiving this recognition. The selection process involved tremendous research and assessment of the past year's coverage and reader feedback by the Intelligent Enterprise editorial staff.

The award selection was a collaborative endeavor, with extensive input from seven Intelligent Enterprise contributors. Award nomination collaborators included outside industry experts such as CMS Watch's Alan Pelz-Sharpe, information management thought leader David Stodder and Seth Grimes of Alta Plana.

With a deep feature set and rich functionality, Nuxeo's underlying Java-based platform, Nuxeo EP, is increasingly being used to replace cumbersome, costly and proprietary ECM platforms.

"We are honored to receive this award from such an established U.S. IT news provider. While new to the U.S. market, we have a proven track record in Europe because of how easy it is to adopt and build upon the Nuxeo EP platform," said Nuxeo CEO Eric Barroca. "Nuxeo is ideal for businesses requiring custom content applications, software vendors embedding ECM into their product offering, or development organizations building new content-enabled applications."

Nuxeo EP is the foundation layer for the entire Nuxeo product suite, which also includes Nuxeo Digital Asset Management and Nuxeo Document Management, also available as a Cloud Edition. The complete platform is available under the popular, business-friendly LGPL open source license.
