Teck Cominco Review Coroner's Inquest Jury Recommendations

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 13, 2007) - Teck Cominco will be closely reviewing the recommendations of the coroner's inquest held in Kimberley, BC, this past week to further increase its understanding of the causes of the tragic events of May, 2006.

The company will be continuing its work with a technical review panel consisting of independent experts from UBC, staff of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources (MEMPR) and their respective technical advisors to develop a complete understanding of the technical causes of the incident.
