Teck Reports Ground Movement at Quebrada Blanca Operations


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - June 25, 2015) - Teck Resources Limited (TSX: TCK.A, TCK.B, NYSE: TCK) ("Teck") reported today that unexpected ground movement has been observed in the area of the SX-EW plant at its Quebrada Blanca Operations in Chile. As a precautionary measure cathode production has been suspended and appropriate authorities have been notified. The duration of the production interruption and the impact on production are unknown at this time.

We are currently investigating the cause of the ground movement. The preliminary investigation is expected to take at least a week. Mine operations not affected by the SX-EW plant are continuing at this time.
