TEDxOrangeCoast Announces Fourth Annual Orange County Conference

Renowned Conference Premieres Social Spaces to Enhance and Encourage Audience Engagement

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2014) - TEDxOrangeCoast today announced that it will host its fourth annual fall conference Sept. 19-20 at Soka University of America.

In addition to TEDxTalks, this year's conference will feature Social Spaces, themed areas designed to attract attendees and spark innovative conversation around specific topics. Themes will include food, music, dance, art, education and more. Soka will also provide a selection of outdoor spaces and galleries that enable guests to customize their experience and interact more thoroughly with other conference goers and speakers.

"This year we're happy to offer our guests a more immersive experience than in past years," says Mojdeh Eskandari, executive producer of TEDxOrangeCoast. "We want them to be inspired, but we also want them to connect with the speakers and one another."

This year's theme is Tipping Point, referencing the idea made popular by Malcolm Gladwell, when ideas and trends cross new thresholds and spread to reshape society. Registration is now open at www.tedxorangecoast.com.

The conference will showcase the winners of the TEDxTeenChallenge, a contest to conceive and present an Idea Worth Doing. TEDxOrangeCoast is currently accepting applications for the Challenge through August 30 at www.tedxorangecoast.com/teen. Winners will be announced at the fall conference and will receive a prize for their idea and professional mentorship to enable its implementation.
