Tektronix Chooses Basin Street Properties' Harvest Business Center to House Radio Frequency/Microwave Design Center

In Highly Anticipated Lease, Leading Test and Measurement Company Occupies 10,042 Sq. Ft. to Expand Bay Area Presence

SANTA ROSA, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 19, 2011) - Basin Street Properties (www.basin-street.com), a prominent Northern California and Northern Nevada real estate investor and developer of commercial and mixed-use properties, has signed Tektronix (www.tek.com), a worldwide leader in providing test, measuring and monitoring instrumentation, to occupy 10,042 square feet at its Harvest Business Center. This lease deal had been highly anticipated since Tektronix announced in February its intent to open an office in Santa Rosa. The Beaverton, Ore.-based company will establish a Radio Frequency (RF) Design Center at the Harvest Business Center location. The lease commences October 1 for a five-year term.

"The fact that Tektronix is expanding its operations to Santa Rosa is absolutely huge for the North Bay job market and we are thrilled they chose Harvest Business Center to house their state-of-the-art design center," said Scott Stranzl, Vice President of Leasing for Basin Street Properties. "The company's choice to occupy one of our premier properties underscores our commitment to providing building solutions that can accommodate the technological demands of innovative companies and to helping businesses grow."

The 39,094-square-foot Harvest Business Center corporate campus, located on Airport Blvd. adjacent to the Sonoma County Airport, is comprised of three, two-story, Class A office buildings that are surrounded by beautiful views of Mt. St. Helena. Additionally, Harvest Business Center is in close proximity to the area's residential community and directly accessible to Highway 101. For Tektronix, the campus' direct connection to the Sonoma County Airport will make it convenient for traveling directly to and from its headquarters via Portland International Airport.

"In seeking spaces to establish our RF Design Center, the location was critical," said Mike Flaherty, General Manager of the RF Business for Tektronix. "By adding this new office in Santa Rosa, Tektronix will have more options for attracting world-class technical talent. It is the next step in our strategy to expand our investment in next-generation RF and microwave technology."

The Tektronix lease at Harvest Business Center brings its total occupancy rate to 92 percent. "Among the many real estate options in Santa Rosa and surrounding North Bay region, we are thrilled to be reaching full occupancy at Harvest Business Center," adds Stranzl. "We are seeing tremendous potential in the North Bay market, which is why you are seeing us reacquire properties in Petaluma. While there are still a number of properties from which to choose, we are confident in our real estate offerings and appreciate that businesses are interested in leasing with us."

Sean Johnson of Keegan & Coppin Company, Inc. represented Basin Street Properties in leasing the space at Harvest Business Center, while Sean Heaton of Cushman & Wakefield represented Tektronix.
