Telcare Names Rick O'Connor as Senior Vice President of Marketing

Digital Health Pioneer Attracts CVS Health Exec and Industry Veteran

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwired - Apr 8, 2015) - Telcare, the provider of the world's first cellular-enabled blood glucometer, diabetes mobile application, and comprehensive HIPAA compliant cloud platform, today bolstered its executive team with the addition of former CVS Health marketer Rick O'Connor as senior vice president of marketing.

The addition of Rick O'Connor is on the heels of Telcare's $32.5 million funding round in October, along with a recent technology patent allowance supporting improved diabetes care, solidifying Telcare as the leader in cellular-enabled blood glucometers and digital health. In this new role Rick will drive Telcare's marketing and communications initiatives, including a refreshed go-to-market strategy. He will be responsible for all B2B activity and developing Telcare's patient engagement and retention efforts.

Rick brings over 25 years of health care and marketing experience, including serving at Chief Marketing Officer for the Caremark division of CVS Health, where he drove product marketing, member engagement, strategic sales communications support. He played an integral role in the development of the new corporate name (CVS Health) and was the marketing co-led on the campaign developed around the new name and the simultaneous removal of tobacco from all CVS retail stores. He also served as vice president of product marketing for Aetna Inc., and also led the creation of the individual insurance portal, growing that business from one state to thirty states.
