Telcordia Selected for Plenary Presentation, Committee Chairs at IMS Conference in India

Held in India's Silicon Valley, IMSAA-08 Focuses on Converged Services for One of the World's Fastest Growing Telecom Markets

PISCATAWAY, NJ--(Marketwire - November 12, 2008) - In the latest example of Telcordia's worldwide reputation as a leader in developing next-generation standards, Telcordia ( today announced that it has been invited to give a plenary presentation at the Second International Conference on Internet Multimedia Services Architecture and Applications (IMSAA-08) and to serve as the event's Technical Program Committee Co-Chair and Publications Co-Chair. Held Dec. 10-12 in Bangalore -- known as the "Silicon Valley of India" -- the event highlights Telcordia's role in bringing advanced, converged services to one of the world's fastest growing telecom markets.

Patrick Donnelly, Country Head, Telcordia India, Service Delivery Solutions, will be the plenary speaker at IMSAA-08. His presentation -- "Innovating, Competing and Winning Today and Tomorrow" -- will discuss how service providers can capitalize on the pent-up demand for advanced, interactive and personalized services. It also looks at how and why services must traverse multiple networks, technologies and devices to meet consumer expectations, as well as the role of common accounts and flexible charging. In addition, the Telcordia technical team will present a technical paper titled, "Mobile Contextual Mashup Service for IMS," authored by Ben Falchuk, Kaustubh Sinkar, Shoshi Loeb and Ashutosh Dutta of Telcordia. This prototype will also be shown as an exhibit during the conference.

IMSAA-08's organizer, the IEEE's Bangalore Section and International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIIT-B), also selected Ashutosh Dutta, Senior Scientist, Telcordia Applied Research, to co-chair the event's Technical Program Committee. Aileen Cheng, Director of Data Communications Research, Telcordia Applied Research, will serve as Publication Co-Chair.
