TeleCommunication Systems to Present at the Noble Financial Equity Conference

ANNAPOLIS, MD--(Marketwire - August 11, 2008) - TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ: TSYS), a global leader in mission-critical wireless communications technology, has been invited to present at the Noble Financial M.A.D. MAX Equity Conference to be held at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort on August 18-19, 2008.

TeleCommunication Systems chairman, president and CEO, Maurice B. Tosé, and senior vice president and CFO, Tom Brandt, are scheduled to present on Tuesday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

Management will discuss recent record financial results and company progress, including the U.S. Army's recent selection of TCS as the sole awardee of a contract with an initial order and options for up to $246 million of deployable satcom system-related deliverables over the next 39 months. This award brought the company's total backlog to about $450 million, of which $115 million is currently funded.

On July 31, 2008, the company reported record second quarter 2008 GAAP net income of $12.0 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, bringing first half net income to $16.6 million or $0.39 per diluted share, up from a loss in the first half of last year. Year to date revenue is up 21%.
