Telenet Selects iPass to Deliver Worldwide Mobility Services

Offers Flat-Rate Mobility Service Enabling Business Travellers to Stay Connected Worldwide

REDWOOD SHORES, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2009) - iPass, Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS), a leading provider of enterprise mobility services, today announced that Telenet, a leading provider of media and telecommunication services in Belgium, has chosen iPass software and services to underpin its new TelenetConnect offering. The new service will allow Telenet business customers to connect to the iPass virtual network -- including the largest global Wi-Fi footprint available today spanning 85 countries -- all for a single per user flat rate price. iPass empowers Telenet to enhance their existing network by offering a Wi-Fi alternative to travelling customers.

The iPass service allows carrier partners such as Telenet to deliver to their customers a single, unified connection experience over multiple access technologies and across multiple device types around the world. The software, branded by Telenet as TelenetConnect, enables one-click or fully automated access to the iPass global network, making it simple for users to get connected regardless of network or location. The service also gives IT managers control over how users connect to the Internet, visibility into usage, and a single detailed invoice enabling customers to gain a far greater handle on mobility expenses.

Until recently Telenet's service was only offered in Belgium and Luxemburg. Partnering with iPass enables Telenet to extend their service allowing mobile workers to get simple, fast and secure Internet access via the world's largest global broadband roaming network for a fixed monthly fee.

Bart De Keyser, director mobile, carrier and marketing Telenet Solutions said, "Collaborating with iPass allows us to offer our business customers user-friendly subscription-based Internet access when traveling abroad. This offering provides our customers with worldwide access to the Internet, their e-mails, the corporate VPN, and iTunes -- regardless of whether they use their laptop, PDA, smartphone or iPhone to connect. The service is available without volume or time limit at a competitive monthly subscription of 32 Euros."

The iPass hotspot footprint includes key business venues including 85 of the world's top 100 busiest airports and a total of 553 airports worldwide as well as over 23,500 hotels and conference venues.

"Our relationship with Telenet is a great example of how iPass technology can prove to be the foundation of a flexible, cost-effective and widespread mobility service," said René Hendrikse, VP EMEA, iPass. "iPass sees great potential in our partnership with Telenet as we work together to improve worldwide enterprise mobility services for Belgium based companies. This solution will provide ubiquitous and secure connectivity when it's needed, wherever it's needed."

iPass Mobile Office also supports Windows Vista, XP and 2000; Max OS X 10.4 and 10.5; Symbian S60 Third Generation devices (versions 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2); Windows Mobile 5, 6 and Pocket PC 2003; and the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch.
