Telephone Spoofing Service Allows Parents to Check Their Children's Voicemail

A LIGATT Security Watch by Gregory Evans

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - December 10, 2007) - LIGATT Security, the inventor of a premiere telephone spoofing service called SPOOFEM.COM (www.spoofem.com), allows parents to check their children's voicemail without knowing the pass code. If a parent purchases a cell phone for their child, the service being in the parent's name, and the child is under the age of 18, the parent can legally check their kid's voicemail.

How this works is simpler than you think. As a parent, when you buy a cell phone for your child, you can set up the voicemail before giving them the phone. At this point you are given the option to enter a pass code every time you check the voicemail or to automatically login and bypass entering the pass code when calling from the cell phone. The parent that uses the SPOOFEM.COM service calls their child's cell phone and puts in their child's cell phone number as the caller ID number, the cell phone provider thinks that the kid is calling from their cell phone and will send the call to voicemail. If you have their voicemail setup to automatically login without entering a pass code, it will give the parent full access to the person's voicemail. Once a parent has gained access they can listen to new and saved voicemails and as long as they do not delete any messages, just listen and then skip each message by pressing the "#" key, your child will never know that you have checked their voicemail.
