Teleunit Launches GoVoIP to Further Strengthen Fixed Line Division

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 18, 2005) - Teleunit S.p.A (AIM:TLU), the provider of fixed line telephony, wireless broadband, international calling cards, and premium access number phone services throughout Italy, is pleased to announce that it has launched GoVoIP, a new ADSL VoIP service aimed at the residential and SoHo (Small Office Home Office) markets. A widespread online advertising campaign has marked the launch of GoVoIP, and the service is available to customers across Italy. Customers can acquire the service online by going to, and the service is also resold through independent sales agencies.

GoVoIP is available to all prospective customers and provides them with a means of making voice calls over an ADSL connection. If the customer does not have ADSL, a specialised GoVoIP package including ADSL can be provided. No additional equipment is necessary to gain access to this new service, with subscribers simply plugging their existing telephony equipment into a 'gateway' provided by Teleunit. This is a tailor-made facility since Teleunit will offer the new GoVoIP service in a range of call packages spanning various bandwidth requirements.

The GoVoIP line of products capitalizes on Teleunit's existing presence in the VoIP market. Teleunit provides VoIP services to large enterprises through its proprietary radio-frequency broadband network (WLL or Wireless Local Loop), and to SME's (small to medium enterprises) through its national ADSL VoIP offering, Unilibera. GoVoIP, with its focus on the consumer and SoHo markets throughout Italy, will allow Teleunit to tap into all areas of the VoIP market and better position itself to gain increased market share.

Francesco Cimica, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "ADSL penetration in Italy currently stands at around 20% and Teleunit is in a good position to gain significant market share. GoVoIP will enable Teleunit to consolidate its position in the VoIP market by gaining further access to residential and SoHo customers.

"The launch of GoVoIP is another example of our innovation, capitalising on an existing technology to offer new and exciting services to potential new customers. VoIP now represents a viable alternative for SoHo and residential users to make economic savings by placing voice calls over the Internet."
