Television's Favorite Working-Class Family Is Back!

IDT Entertainment's Anchor Bay and Carsey-Werner Announce "Roseanne: Season Two"

All 24 Original "Network" Uncut Episodes on DVD for the First Time Ever December 6th!

TROY, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 5, 2005 -- Get ready for another dose of the "Domestic Goddess!" On December 6, Anchor Bay Entertainment -- an IDT Entertainment Company -- and Carsey-Werner will release "Roseanne: Season Two" on DVD. This award-winning series depicted its characters with a believability that forever changed the world of situation comedies, portraying a typical blue-collar family, with all its struggles, squabbles and strengths. "Roseanne: Season Two" will be available on a four-disc set at a suggested retail price of $39.98.

"Roseanne" evolved from the stand-up comedy act of its star and executive producer, Roseanne Barr. "Roseanne" premiered on ABC in 1988, setting the concept of the typical American family on its ear with the humorous depiction of a discordant but affectionate middle-class family -- the Conners. The show became an instant hit with a viewing audience that was saturated with too-attractive and too-charming television families.

In "Roseanne: Season Two," the Conners return with Roseanne as the loving but sarcastic matriarch of the family. John Goodman ("O Brother, Where Art Thou?") plays her loyal but slightly befuddled husband, Dan. As parents they were not to be trifled with; however, as a couple they were honest, devoted and almost defiantly ordinary. Their children included the eldest, Becky (Leci Gorenson -- "Boys Don't Cry"), the sardonic Darlene (Sara Gilbert -- "24," "ER") and DJ (Michael Fishman -- "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence"), the youngest of the Conner clan. Laurie Metcalf ("Dear God," "Scream 2") also returns as Roseanne's sister, Jackie.

Anchor Bay Entertainment and Carsey-Werner pulled out all the stops to present all 24 episodes of Roseanne: Season Two in its original uncut network versions, as well as assemble enough value-added supplements to fill several Lazy Susans! Feast on the following features:

-- John Goodman: A New Candid Interview
-- DJ: All Grown Up (A New Michael Fishman Interview)
-- Best of Season Two
-- "Roseanne" United: Season One Launch Party
-- Original John Goodman Audition
-- Wacky Jackie: The Best Of Roseanne's Sister

"Roseanne: Season Two" also marks the beginning of what would become a series tradition. "Boo!" is the series' first Halloween episode, where the Conners engage in a showdown of homemade horror. Contests deciding the creepiest costume and the ultimate Halloween prank will eventually become a family ritual and a seasonal highlight.

Difficult social and familial issues also continue to be addressed, with episodes about teenage sexuality and alcoholism, unemployment, taxes and the ever-looming threat of poverty. What television couple could be more qualified to tackle such problems than the Domestic Goddess herself and her husband, named by TV Guide as one of the "50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time."

Carsey-Werner has been known globally for over twenty years as one of the leading independent television studios. With the current hit "That '70s Show," classics such as "Roseanne," "3rd Rock From The Sun," and "The Cosby Show," and a library of enviable hits that include, "A Different World," "Grace Under Fire," "Cybil" and "Cosby," Carsey-Werner programs can be seen and heard in over 175 countries and in 50 different languages.
