Telkonet SmartEnergy Ensures Comfort and Savings for Las Vegas Springhill Suites

High-End Technology Increases Guest Comfort While Reducing Unnecessary Energy Consumption

MILWAUKEE, WI--(Marketwire - December 27, 2010) -  Telkonet, Inc. (OTCBB: TKOI) (OTCQB: TKOI), a leading Clean Technology company committed to intelligent energy management solutions, is generating savings through a new SmartEnergy installation within the beautiful Springhill Suites hotel on Paradise Road in Las Vegas. This recently completed installation has enabled the hotel to expand its environmental awareness initiatives while recognizing significant savings on its energy reduction. By using Telkonet's SmartEnergy platform, the hotel is able to implement a program that ensures guest comfort while optimizing energy savings.

With 300 guest rooms and 9 conference rooms totaling more than 4500 square feet of conference space, the Springhill Suites recognized a significant opportunity to manage its costs. With commercial buildings totaling more than 70% of overall energy consumption and US hotels spending almost $4B on energy each year, Springhill Suites understood the savings potential in managing its energy needs. Recognizing Telkonet's energy management leadership in the Hospitality industry, the Springhill Suites worked with Telkonet to customize its energy management installation to ensure a high level of guest comfort while reducing the energy consumed by unoccupied rooms.

"The Telkonet Smart Energy solution is helping us reach our goal of a 25% decrease in energy and water consumption per available room by 2017," stated Scott Hooker, General Manager. Scott went on to say, "Telkonet's proven energy savings and performance in the hospitality market was a key factor in choosing Telkonet SmartEnergy for our property."

"We're thrilled with Springhill Suites' choice of Telkonet's SmartEnergy and look forward to maximizing savings and comfort for the hotel and its guests. This selection further demonstrates Telkonet's leadership in Hospitality energy management and our superior savings and benefits," said Jeff Sobieski, Chief Operating Officer for Telkonet.

Telkonet's SmartEnergy platform is currently installed in several hundred thousand rooms throughout the world and across most major hospitality brands. Questions regarding Telkonet's SmartEnergy platform and its upcoming EcoLife Suite may be directed to sales@telkonet.com
